Bicycle camping!

Once Mike's returned to me, safe and sound from Arkansas, I'd like to do an overnight trip or weekend trip by bike. I know some of you on the F-list have experience with this, so any tips would be appreciated.

As for the route, that's still being planned. I've looked at a couple, but I'm open to suggestions. Ideally, we'd bike about 60 or so miles. And, I'd prefer a northern trip over a southern one.

once i switched to a pannier (and a grocery-bag pannier at that), i was amazed at how much more comfortable my ride was!

Grocery bag panniers are nice.

I just got a set of these (http://www.ortlieb.com/_prod.php?lang=en&produkt=backrollerplus), but haven't used them yet.
