After almost gloating over my health this winter, Mike passed along the SARDS Flu (SARS and bird flu, mixed) and we're now one sick family--even the cat seems to have a runny nose. That's okay--I've always wanted to be a little ho(a)rse. Wah.

I made chili a few weeks ago. It involved making a vodka tomato sauce first, then a KGB hot sauce (so-called because it sneaks up on you). The chili itself contained vodka and chocolate. 100% pure yum.

I finished my sweater! I dunked and blocked it, but I really need a flat blocking surface, or at least someplace where I can pin the blocked items as I shape them... I'm mostly happy with the sweater, though I might have to redo the hem just once more...

I teach a class on Tuesday, and I'm not ready for it (I took a sick day!), so I'm working OT tomorrow. Yes, I'd rather stay home and chill, but I actually don't mind work... How strange.

I'm working on finishing the tea cups stitching for my grandmother. Christmas came and went and I kinda just threw that thing in the corner like an unwanted stepchild.

I had a mess of tests run while at the doctor's on Tuesday (insert rant about Septa and Manayunk ___________ ). I haven't heard back on the results yet, but I doubt it's anything to worry about. I have a follow-up next month (APRIL ALREADY!!!).

The MC garage best have the MC ready or else someone is going to get punched in the head. Seriously.

Once we get the AC payment off our back, we're going to have an evening of budgety goodness and make plans for the floorboards. It pays to not panic in the long run, I suppose.

I'm seriously ready for skirt weather. I can't believe I typed that because I've been told I'm not a skirt person, but who fucking cares when it's just easier to skirt it than pants it in the summer?

If Hershey doesn't get it's act together, and if Nashua proves to be Da Bomb (plus cheaper), then I might do that damn ride again. Instead of 186 miles round-trip, maybe I'll plan for the century.

I don't even want to think about summer projects... But I am: basement (who wants a camelback sofa?), garden, house, self, vacation...

Anyone know anything about Block Island, RI?
