We both go down together

I have this toothbrush. Every morning after brushing, I flip it over and make use of the tongue scrubber. Every morning, without fail, I manage to gag while brushing my teeth/cleaning my tongue. And to think I used to be bulimic and need a good 8-10 inches to activate my gag reflex.

Would I could afford

• The BitOp just over'ed and out'ed her way home, having spent the day up here in the Falls. Oh what a time we had--it was so good to see her after months of barely emailing. She left and we already made plans for our next get-together: Thai, Kevin Smith, and homebrewed hard cider.
• The best gift received this year is a tie, sort of, between the Denise Interchangeables (from Mike) and the pink turtleneck my mom gave me. Though, now that I think of it, the Bose headphones are actually pretty fucking sweet...
• My friend Veronica gave me The Vodka Cookbook; I'm fixing tonight's dinner using a recipe out of it.
• I started a sock for Miki Monday after the Christmas extravaganza that is my mother's house and finished the first one Thursday, then started the second one Thursday night.  My plan is to finish the pair before the year is out.  My vacation knitting was going to be to finish Anastasia, but then I saw how cold and lonely Mike's feet looked without hand-knit socks and knew, just KNEW, what I had to do.
• Tangentially, I've worn the tips of my Addis to little pointy daggers.  I either need to loosen up while knitting or check out new needles.
• I spent part of Thursday wondering around West Chester, dropping some dollars at the bead shop, eating up the enchiladas at Senoras Authentic Mexican, and marveling at the fashion trend (or faux pas) that the guys have adopted 'round there: baseball caps and Oakley-esque sunglasses on the brim.  My sister's ex did this (he's from the Dubya Sea), but I figured he was just a schmuck (but, a nice guy nevertheless), but on Thursday, I saw dudes currently sporting that style.  Megan and I were ready to say, "CHOOSE!  Hat or glasses!!!"
• Mike's first batch of homebrew got sucked down in just about no time.  Today he brewed up some hard cider for me and it's now on Day 1 of 21 or so in the fermentation stage.  We went with a boozy cider--it should come in at 10% or so.  Holy help me Oprah Winfrey.
• I exchanged a duplicate gift CD for the second-to-last album by The Decemberists.  I can play the album through without skipping about, but there are about 5 songs on there that I've played 6 or 7 dozen times.
• For those of you that know what I'm talking about, I'm still finding wallet-sized shots of Miss New Jersey in my house.
